Our natural apparel collection is made in house at in our sewing shop in Canggu, Indonesia. Last Layer's Founder, Zepha Jackson and jewellery maker, Millie Savage, have opened an ethical manufacturing production house called Not A Stitch Up.
Not A Stitch Up is home to both Zeph and Mil's studio/office in the space, because we both don't like missing out on the action. This allows us to oversee every single stitch and our whole production. Millie hand makes all her jewellery, Zeph designs all her clothes, we have a bunch of talented creatives that pop by and Millie's dog is always under the table. Combining all these things under one roof and being able to work so closely with our team, really gets the creativity flowing.
We believe having an epic work environment is key. Not just for our team but for us too.
Drop us a line if you want to come for a visit and we shall pop the kettle on, or pop the champagne - choice is yours.
In search for the original sources of high quality traditional products, we explore countries around the world to find local artisans specialising in their craft.
Artisans are the backbone of their local communities. Creating jobs and preserving traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Supporting artisans and small communities has the potential to impact an entire economy.
